Motored 14 miles sount from Bells Isle Marina to the anchorage outside of Old Point Comfort.

Started the trip off by getting stuck on a sandbar!  The rudder is designed to both lift and to swing back and up.  The hinges for the swinging back function got bent, and the pin that the rudder rides along disappeared.

Took dinghy to pier.  Struck bridge piling and punctured the dinghy on the way back.  Patched the dinghy.

Gale, blowing up to 30kts.  Dragged my anchor several hundred yards before I noticed.  Reset my anchor.

Joined the Old Point Comfort Yacht Club which gives me access to the sandy beach.  Also closer to the makerspace than the public dock.

Realized the anchor rope can bite the edge of the anchor opening.  Fashioned a anti-chaff guard out of flexible conduit.

Broke the 'stalk' style GPS that was mounted at the edge of the swim platform.  Need to test and see if it was active.  Need to plug the hole.

Woke to an anchor alarm, triggered by a wind-shift.  Inspected and adjusted the anti-chaff guard which is performing well.  Flexible conduit is tough and I think it will be my go-to for anti-chaff guards from now on.

Second alarm two hours later.  Confirmed that I am not dragging, less than 5 knot breeze.

I need to sort out why brave on the mac refuses to connect to the victron control panel.
